8 Icertis competitors & alternatives compared (2026)

You chose Icertis to get every contract under control. Months later, the rollout still isn’t finished; changing one approval rule means calling a consultant, and you pay for Docusign on top just to get contracts signed. Your account managers work in Salesforce and rarely open Icertis.

Icertis is a great solution, but its complexity might not suit everyone. This guide compares eight Icertis alternatives: Oneflow, Ironclad, Sirion, Agiloft, Docusign CLM, Conga CLM, Juro and Leah. For each, you’ll see what it does better than Icertis, and who it’s for.

Icertis CLM platform in context: where it works and why consider alternatives

Icertis is a contract platform for large, global companies. Enterprise teams in legal, procurement, sales and finance use it to draft, negotiate and manage agreements on both the buy side and the sell side, with compliance management and contract analytics across the portfolio. It offers industry-specific solutions and runs inside SAP procurement: SAP sells and supports it as SAP Ariba Contract Intelligence by Icertis, so SAP customers can buy it under their existing SAP agreement, with SAP handling first-line support; it also integrates with SAP S/4HANA.

So why do teams look elsewhere? Reviewers on G2 and Gartner Peer Insights praise how deeply Icertis can be configured and the value of one repository across business units. But the same reviews also keep mentioning some problem areas:

  • Implementation takes a long time. Onboarding is resource-heavy, and some users report gaps between what the sales team promised and what implementation delivered.
  • Custom setups are hard to change. Configuration decisions are difficult to reverse once live and hard to maintain through upgrades.
  • Search and the interface feel clunky. Finding a contract takes more effort than it should, and some users call the interface dated.
  • Signing needs another vendor. Icertis has no native e-signature solution, so contracts need to go through Docusign or Adobe Acrobat Sign on a separate subscription.

How to choose between Icertis alternatives

Start with the part of the contract lifecycle management process that causes the most delays or errors for you. If deals stall between sales and legal, look for contracts generated from CRM records, with approvals and signing in the same flow, so reps don’t retype deal data. If the main bottleneck is legal review, look for guided intake forms, clause libraries and AI review against your negotiation playbook. If suppliers miss commitments after signing, prioritize obligation and service-level tracking linked to invoice checks.

8 Icertis competitors reviewed

Oneflow

Oneflow - one of the top Icertis competitors, with a clear pricing structure

Oneflow is a contract lifecycle management platform for mid-market and enterprise teams that want one tool to manage contracts from contract creation to renewal. In Oneflow, contracts are live web documents, not static PDFs, so both sides always work in the same version. If something changes after you’ve sent the contract, you simply update that same document. You can map contract data (addresses, dates, amounts, and more) to your CRM or other business systems, eliminating manual work and errors, and making sure data stays consistent and up-to-date across systems.

How it differs from Icertis: Both tools connect to Salesforce, but they divide the work differently. With Icertis, sales reps can request and track contracts from Salesforce, while drafting and approvals happen in Icertis and signing goes through a separate e-signature provider. In Oneflow, reps create the contract directly from a Salesforce object. The customer then comments on, negotiates and signs that same document. With two-way sync, changes and updates like a new price or quantity sync back to your CRM, so your pipeline stays up-to-date.

Key features:

  • Contracts connected to your CRM. Native integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Pipedrive populate your contracts with customer, product and pricing data, and price or quantity changes sync back to the CRM records. You can connect Oneflow to other business tools through Zapier, Power Automate and an open API.
  • Negotiate directly inside the contract. Counterparties can add inline comments and chat with you in the document. You can edit contracts after sending without creating a new version, and if you need to edit a contract after someone has already signed, their signature simply resets.
  • Built-in e-signatures. Signing is included in every plan, with internal approvals and a full audit trail. Signers can also verify by SMS or use electronic IDs.
  • Renewal and notice-period rules. Set a fixed term or an automatic renewal with a notice period, and choose how many days ahead Oneflow should notify you. A calendar view shows every upcoming deadline across your contracts.
  • One repository for new and legacy contracts. You can upload signed PDFs to Oneflow, and have AI extract the key parties, dates, durations and more. You can use this data for search, tagging, reminders, or sync it to other systems.
  • AI for drafting, summaries and review. AI can help you draft, rewrite or translate contract text and summarize long agreements. AI Review flags contract risks and missing clauses against your own guidelines, and AI Insights supports portfolio-wide risk management.

Ironclad

Ironclad contract management software for enterprise organizations
Source: LawSites

Ironclad is a contract platform for in-house legal departments handling high contract volumes across sales, procurement and HR. Legal sets up templates, intake forms and approval rules once, and business users create contracts from Salesforce, Coupa, Word or a web form.

How it differs from Icertis: Icertis manages contracts across the whole enterprise, while Ironclad is built for the legal team fielding requests from the business. Unlike Icertis, it also has native e-signature, Ironclad Signature.

Key features:

  • No-code workflow automation. A drag-and-drop designer handles templates, conditional clauses and approval routing, so an order form with a large discount can be routed to finance while a standard one can proceed straight to signature.
  • AI review in Word. Ironclad’s AI, Jurist, runs inside Microsoft Word, suggesting redlines based on your playbook and flagging risky terms.
  • AI assistant and agents. An assistant answers questions about your contracts; an AI renewal agent adds context and recommendations before each renewal.

Sirion

Sirion contract lifecycle management platform helps optimize contract performance
Source: Business Wire

Sirion is an enterprise contract platform used mainly by procurement teams managing complex service agreements, such as IT outsourcing. It can draft and negotiate contracts, but it stands out after signing by tracking whether suppliers meet their contractual obligations. Signing runs through integrations such as Docusign and Adobe Acrobat Sign.

How it differs from Icertis: Both platforms serve enterprise procurement, but Sirion is especially strong when the priority is managing supplier performance and obligations after signature. For example, if a supplier misses a service level that entitles you to a credit, Sirion flags it, calculates the credit and matches it against the next invoice.

Key features:

  • Obligation tracking. Dashboards mark upcoming and overdue obligations, and send alerts before deadlines.
  • Service-level monitoring. Sirion calculates delivered service levels from data in connected systems like ServiceNow, your ERP or procure-to-pay tools. It then flags where performance falls short of the agreed terms.
  • Invoice checks and credits. Invoices are matched against contract terms, pricing, consumption and performance. When a supplier misses a target, Sirion calculates the service credit and can generate a pro forma invoice.
  • AI agents. Sirion extracts contract data, flags deviations from your playbook, redlines with explanations and answers plain-language questions about your portfolio.

Agiloft

Agiloft - Icertis alternative for managing the entire contract lifecycle
Source: Software Advice

With Agiloft, admins build their own contract system without code, creating the records, fields, forms and approval rules. Each department gets its own intake and approval path in one shared repository. This suits companies with unique business processes and dedicated owners for contract operations. Signing is available through Docusign or Adobe Acrobat Sign connectors.

How it differs from Icertis: Both platforms handle complex processes, but in Agiloft an in-house admin can change the setup without code. For example, if procurement wants an alert 30 days before each supplier’s insurance certificate lapses, the admin adds the field and alert on point-and-click screens. In contrast, Icertis reviewers say its configuration is hard to change once in use.

Key features:

  • A configurable data model. Custom tables, fields and rules track non-standard items, such as insurance certificates attached to supplier contracts.
  • Approval chains and reminders. Approval workflows route contracts to the right people based on rules you set, while reminders flag upcoming renewals and obligations.
  • A standalone AI review tool. Agiloft’s separate AI product reviews contracts against your playbook, flags risks, extracts data and suggests redlines directly in Microsoft Word. It connects to Agiloft’s contract system.

Docusign CLM

Docusign CLM has contract automation features
Source: G2

Docusign CLM is the contract management application on Docusign’s Intelligent Agreement Management platform. Legal and business teams create contracts from templates populated with Salesforce data, route them for review and approval, and store signed agreements in an AI-searchable repository. Signing is handled through Docusign eSignature.

How it differs from Icertis: Icertis goes further on procurement and industry-specific needs. Docusign CLM’s advantage is that drafting, approval and signing come from one vendor, because signing runs on Docusign eSignature.

Key features:

  • Templates built from Salesforce data. Templates pull in customer, product and price details and use pre-approved legal language for standard clauses. When the counterparty edits the draft, AI flags wording that no longer matches.
  • Drag-and-drop workflow management. Conditional approvals route a contract with non-standard payment terms to legal and a standard one straight to signature.
  • AI search and agents. You can search contracts by keyword, metadata or concept, and AI agents check agreements against your standards.

Conga CLM

Conga CLM analyzes contracts to help finance teams and sales teams work from the same data
Source: Salesforce AppExchange

Conga CLM is contract software for companies that manage Salesforce-based quoting and contracting. Sales operations and legal teams use it to turn approved quotes into contracts, negotiate terms, sign with Conga Sign and manage renewals, obligations and other post-signature activities.

How it differs from Icertis: Conga covers the sale, not only the contract. Its quoting tool calculates totals and sends large discounts for additional approvals; the contract is drafted from that quote, and Conga’s billing product invoices the customer. Icertis connects to quoting tools like Salesforce CPQ but doesn’t sell quoting or billing software.

Key features:

  • Contracts drafted from deal data. Templates fill in customer, product and price details from the Salesforce record or quote, using wording from a central clause library.
  • AI redlines. Conga’s AI compares the customer’s markup with your approved clauses, flags risky edits and suggests fallback language.
  • Tracking after signature. AI extracts clauses and pricing tables from signed contracts, and alerts warn you before obligations and renewals come due.

Juro

Juro contract management solution helps users track contracts
Source: CompareCamp

Juro is contract software for teams that mostly handle routine business documents, such as NDAs, sales agreements and employment contracts. Legal builds templates with approval rules once, and sales, HR and operations teams then create, negotiate and sign contracts in a browser-based editor.

See how Oneflow compares with Juro.

How it differs from Icertis: Juro is built to get routine contracts signed fast. Icertis is built for complex supplier contracting and SAP procurement. Juro is lighter and includes e-signature and unlimited users on every plan.

Key features:

  • Configurable templates. Legal can set up templates with fields such as price or start date and attach approval rules to them. Sales reps can then generate contracts from Salesforce or HubSpot records using those templates.
  • AI review against your playbook. Juro’s AI compares the counterparty’s edits with your playbook and suggests redlines in Juro, Microsoft Word or Slack.
  • A searchable archive. AI extracts key data from signed and uploaded contracts and answers questions such as which contracts renew next quarter.

Leah

Source: GetApp

Leah, formerly ContractPodAi, is contract software for legal and procurement teams at large companies. Its AI does the first-pass review, especially of the other side’s paper, which cuts the time legal teams spend on routine contracts.

How it differs from Icertis: Leah focuses on taking routine review off lawyers, while Icertis is built to manage the whole contract portfolio. When a supplier sends its own master services agreement, Leah classifies it, checks each clause against your playbook, suggests redlines in Word and sends it to the right approver. Like Icertis, Leah connects to SAP Ariba.

Key features:

  • Guided intake. Request forms adapt questions based on earlier answers. Uploaded third-party contracts are automatically classified, with clauses and obligations extracted.
  • Approval routing. Rules route contracts by value, risk, jurisdiction or contract type. If a contract needs extra attention, it can be escalated automatically to the right approver.
  • Tracking after signature. Reminders cover renewals, notice periods and milestones. Signing runs through Docusign or Adobe Acrobat Sign.

Choose the contract lifecycle management (CLM) that keeps contract data usable

Most of these tools can draft, approve, sign and store contracts. The real difference is who each one is built for: Ironclad for legal teams fielding requests from sales and procurement, Leah for lawyers marking up suppliers’ contracts, Juro for legal and business teams handling routine, repeatable contracts, Sirion for checking supplier service levels against invoices, Agiloft for tracking custom data like insurance expiry dates, Conga for quoting in Salesforce, and Docusign CLM for large enterprises running on SAP Ariba or Coupa.

Oneflow is built for mid-market to enterprise companies that want one tool for the entire contract lifecycle, from first draft to renewal. E-signatures are part of the product, not a separate subscription. Contracts pull data from your CRM, stay editable during negotiation and send negotiated changes back to Salesforce or HubSpot. After signing, Oneflow keeps renewal dates, notice periods, contract obligations and other milestones visible, with automatic reminders before any action is due.

FAQs

How much does the Icertis contract management tool cost?

Icertis doesn’t publish prices. It offers custom quotes, and as with most enterprise CLM platforms, implementation and integrations add to the software cost.

Does Icertis include native, legally binding electronic signatures?

No, Icertis offers signing through integrations, so you’ll need another provider. Signatures collected that way are generally legally binding under the US ESIGN Act and the EU’s eIDAS regulation. Oneflow includes e-signatures in every plan, so you can draft, negotiate, and sign contracts in the same tool and each signature is recorded in the contract’s audit trail. If a contract needs stronger identity checks, signers can use national electronic IDs such as Swedish BankID or MitID.

Can contracts and metadata be migrated from Icertis’ contract storage to another CLM?

Yes, as long as you can export documents, attachments and metadata and the new platform can import them. Move signature evidence, audit trails and links between agreements and their amendments, not just the documents themselves. Workflows, approval rules and permissions generally don’t transfer, so you’ll need to rebuild them in the new tool.

How long does it take to migrate from Icertis?

It depends on contract volume, data quality and how many integrations and workflows you rebuild. Moving signed contracts is usually faster than replacing live review and approval processes, so plan them as separate phases. Import old contracts first, then switch new contracts over one team at a time.
